            <p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Research Fellow to join the Big Data in Health Group</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong><u>About us</u></strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;">The Big Data in Health group at the University of Southampton is based in the <a href="https://www.southampton.ac.uk/primarycare">Primary Care Research Centre.</a> We aim to understand patterns, trends, and associations of diseases to inform preventive action in the UK and international contexts. Our group comprises a diverse, multidisciplinary team conducting high-quality, innovative research that addresses complex health and social care challenges of the 21<sup>st</sup> century. We employ traditional statistical and epidemiological methods, cutting-edge artificial intelligence algorithms, and qualitative research to provide a deeper understanding, insights, and applications.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong><u>About the role&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;">In this role, you will join a successful interdisciplinary and mixed-methods team with extensive qualitative and quantitative expertise that conducts research to support people with multiple long-term conditions. The post holder will already be working in the field of multimorbidity. They will have good organisational and administrative skills. They will have excellent writing skills and be able to work independently to draft high-quality academic research papers and convey methodological results of findings through presentations using interactive visualisations.. This position is a unique opportunity to join an experienced, fast-paced and high-output research group, working closely with our supportive team to help deliver School for Primary Care Research (SPCR), National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI) funded projects in populations with multiple long-term conditions.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;">The post is offered full-time for 6 months and will be available starting in June/July. The salary for this position will be level 4.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong><u>About you</u></strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;">If you believe you meet the requirements for the post, come and join us to take forward this exciting opportunity and become part of an innovative and dynamic research group where you will be valued, included and supported.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:0in;">You will be educated to postgraduate degree level and must have an established track record of conducting MLTC research, systematic reviews, and qualitative analyses. You will specialise in qualitative methods and have extensive experience in creating search terms, conducting searches across a wide variety of search engines, and conducting narrative synthesis. &nbsp;We welcome applications from researchers with a strong track record in MLTC and at least some knowledge of AI-enabled digital health tools, along with proven experience leading and managing research teams, including supervising staff, mentoring, and professional development.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;">You will be able to work to tight deadlines, manage your time independently, be flexible to accommodate project demands and responsive to requests from line managers and other colleagues. You will possess excellent organisational and inter-personal skills and high professional standards.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;">Applicants for this position will have completed a relevant PhD or will be near completion at the time of the interview.</p>

            <p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true">Post duration up to 4 years (whole time equivalent) or up to 6 years part time.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>The Faculty of Medicine, supported by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in General Practice.</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will be developing your research and teaching within the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton. This post is aligned to the NIHR research theme &#39;Primary care and community care&#39;.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will have a higher research degree (or have submitted for such a degree) and appropriate research experience.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">In this post-doctoral role for applicants in General Practice, the successful candidate will have evidence of completion of training in Primary Care and have substantial experience of the relevant research areas, a proven track record of high-quality original research publications, the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary, multi-professional team. Would you like to work in a founding member of the Russell Group Universities?</p><p>We are looking to recruit a Teaching Fellow in Anatomical Sciences to join our committed and enthusiastic team of anatomists and technical staff in our goal to provide the highest quality student experience. This post is based at Southampton General Hospital in the Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences (CLAS) which comprises a large Anatomical Sciences Laboratory. We are part of the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education in the Faculty of Medicine and we have close interdisciplinary links with other members of the faculty and wider University. </p><p>The University of Southampton is a global centre for excellence in education and research and a founding member of the Russell Group. The Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences (CLAS) is part of the larger Medical Education group within the Faculty of Medicine and we benefit from a resource-rich creative environment and the close proximity of our clinical colleagues.</p><p>Our principal role is to develop and deliver human anatomy teaching and learning for undergraduates. Teaching areas include gross anatomy, microanatomy, developmental anatomy and neuroanatomy. Members of academic staff also have curriculum management and development roles in the Faculty and wider University.</p><p>Anatomy is taught through prosected specimens which we create in house through the generous donation of members of the public. Our catchment area for donations is the South East of England. Central to our method of delivery is a student-centred approach providing students with a resource-rich environment in which to study. Students undertake a range of activities using high quality bespoke prosected specimens, plastinated and museum specimens, plastic models, bones, imaging material and eLearning packages.</p><p>Our team comprises the Director of the Centre, 1 Principal Teaching Fellow, 5 Teaching Fellows, Technical Manager and Deputy and 2 Anatomy Laboratory Technicians. Our work is supported by the CLAS administrator.</p><p>The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of anatomy and its sub-disciplines, experience in demonstrating anatomy in practical classes and be enthusiastic and flexible in supporting staff in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. We are looking for someone that is keen to participate fully in the intellectual and academic activities of a lively and committed department which values collegiality highly with the aim to deliver the highest quality student experience.</p><p>We are seeking to appoint a Medical or Anatomy graduate. The successful candidate will ideally have had experience working within a human anatomy morbid facility. You will be an excellent team player and have a good understanding of the Human Tissue Act.
