            <p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true"><strong>Overview</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The University of Southampton, in partnership with Oxford International Education Group (OIEG), has successfully launched its first international campus in India, located in Gurgaon, Delhi. This initiative, developed in response to India&#39;s New Education Policy, represents a significant investment in transnational education. The campus provides Indian students with the opportunity to earn a globally recognised degree without leaving the country.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>The role<br>&nbsp;</strong><br>This opportunity serves as a completely new role facilitating the recently launched Creative Computing programme at UoSD, working with students at undergraduate level. You will be able to deliver technical guidance, both on campus and online in programming, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and electronics, audiovisual production and installation, 3D modelling, scanning, fabrication and more. You will have experience using creative coding platforms such as Processing, Open Frameworks, Visual Studio Code and Git, along with programming across HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, C# and node-based platforms such as Scratch, VVVV, Touch Designer and PureData.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>About you<br>&nbsp;</strong><br>Hands on working and guiding students to reach their potential will be at the heart of what you do. This is a chance for an experienced creator to indulge their passion, be a valued colleague and someone who brings something uniquely their own to the team. First and foremost, this should include impressive knowledge and experience in creative technologies, along with hardware, software development, keeping up to date with technological advances in the area. The campus provides Indian students with the opportunity to earn a globally recognised degree without leaving the country.<br><strong><br>Job Purpose&nbsp;</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The Assistant Professor in Creative Computing will contribute to the delivery, development, and continuous enhancement of the BSc (Hons) Creative Computing programme, teaching across a range of modules that may integrate programming, interactive technologies, user experience design, creative coding, extended reality (AR/VR), robotics, and/or digital fabrication. The postholder will support students in developing both technical and creative competencies through project-based learning, enabling them to design, prototype, and implement innovative digital and physical solutions. They will provide academic leadership in module delivery, assessment design, and student supervision, including the guidance of major independent projects that combine creative practice with technological innovation.<br>&nbsp;<br>In addition to teaching, the postholder will contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, academic administration, industry engagement, and student recruitment activities, ensuring that the programme remains aligned with emerging trends in creative technology and the needs of the creative industries. The role also includes undertaking and disseminating internationally recognised research and scholarly activity in creative computing or related disciplines, contributing to the School&rsquo;s research profile and knowledge exchange activities.
