Would you like this to be your job too?</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>About the role</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">We are seeking a Donor Relations Manager (DRM) to provide maternity cover during a strategically significant year for our team. This fixed term role will ensure continuity and excellence in the delivery of our well-established donor relations programme at a time when ODAR is about to launch its first institution wide campaign.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The DRM will take the lead on managing and delivering a mature, high performing programme of donor stewardship, with a particular focus on project managing key activities to recognise and celebrate our donor community and providing excellent line management to our Donor Relations team. You will ensure that our donor relations strategy continues to run smoothly, maintaining the high standards and personalised approach that underpin our success.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">Working collaboratively with fundraisers and colleagues across the University, you will oversee the delivery of compelling communications, events and recognition activities that articulate the impact of philanthropy. You will also manage a range of operational processes - from donor data oversight to the creation of bespoke &ldquo;magic moments&rdquo; - that contribute to an exceptional donor experience.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>About you</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will be an experienced and confident project manager, capable of taking ownership of a complex, multi‑layered programme and ensuring its seamless delivery. With a passion for delivering an excellent donor (or stakeholder) experience, you will be adept at coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing deadlines and maintaining momentum across a busy annual cycle.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will bring creativity, attention to detail and strong communication skills, along with an enthusiasm for the power of philanthropy and its impact. Funded by UKRI, the programme spans 28 universities, 150+ non-academic partner organisations, and an international network of collaborators across 45 countries.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The programme operates through five distinct funding streams &mdash; Keystone, Cornerstone, Satellite, Impact Accelerator and International Partnership projects &mdash; and is structured as a true multi-institutional consortium. RAi UK does not sit within a single institution; it convenes, coordinates and stewards a distributed national effort with a shared governance framework, shared outcomes and collective accountability to UKRI and to the public.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced operations leader to shape the infrastructure of a nationally significant research programme. As Head of Operations you will provide the organisational spine that holds a complex, multi-HEI consortium together &mdash; enabling world-class responsible AI research to happen at scale.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will work directly with the CEO and the RAi UK Leadership Team to align operational capability with strategic ambition, and you will act as the principal operational authority for a programme that spans institutions, disciplines, sectors and geographic boundaries.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">Critically, this role goes well beyond single-institution programme management. This role sits within a growing multidisciplinary team and will involve working closely with a small group of engineers and researchers to deliver secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that enables safe access to sensitive healthcare and research data.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure, ensuring that the SDE meets stringent security, governance, and compliance requirements associated with clinical research. The role requires experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and modern DevOps practices, alongside an understanding of networking, monitoring, and system reliability. Experience or interest in the clinical trials or healthcare domain, including the use of informatics and IT to support research, will be highly beneficial.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in medical research while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
