            <p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true">Post duration up to 4 years (whole time equivalent) or up to 6 years part time.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>The Faculty of Medicine, supported by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in General Practice.</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will be developing your research and teaching within the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton. This post is aligned to the NIHR research theme &#39;Primary care and community care&#39;.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You will have a higher research degree (or have submitted for such a degree) and appropriate research experience.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">In this post-doctoral role for applicants in General Practice, the successful candidate will have evidence of completion of training in Primary Care and have substantial experience of the relevant research areas, a proven track record of high-quality original research publications, the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary, multi-professional team.             <p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true">The Faculty of Medicine School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences, supported by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (HIOWH), wishes to appoint an Associate Professor / Senior Clinical Lecturer in General Psychiatry. The successful candidate will have previously won external funding, have a strong record of research and publication, and be expected to develop a programme of research with support from clinical and laboratory-based colleagues. They will have demonstrable potential to acquire further independent funding and be expected to gain external funding equivalent to around 50% of the salary beyond the first three years. They will contribute to academic leadership within the Faculty and Trust and enhance the quality of research, enterprise and teaching. Clinical duties will enhance the practice of psychiatry within HIOW.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The University of Southampton is research-intensive, a member of the Russell Group, and one of the top 100 universities worldwide. It delivers excellent educational experience, world-leading research and successful commercialisation of research through enterprise. HIOW Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health, adult and child community health, and learning disabilities. It has a strong culture of research and innovation.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The successful candidate would be recognised as an emerging leader in their field. They would undertake clinical and basic research in psychiatry, aligned with the research strategy of the Faculty, School and Trust, teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and undertake leadership, management and engagement activities across the two organisations. They would be able to make strategic judgements and contribute to the external profile of both the University and the Trust. The successful candidate will hold a primary medical qualification and full registration with the GMC or equivalent organisation, have MRCPsych or an equivalent recognised qualification, a certificate of completed specialist training (or equivalent) in general psychiatry, and a PhD or DM or equivalent relevant higher degree.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The University Department of Psychiatry pursues research in affective disorders, alcohol use disorders, behavioural addictions, dementia, psychopharmacology, neuroimaging and psychoneuroimmunology. There are vibrant partnerships with the School of Psychology on the Highfield Campus. There is an Academy of Research &amp; Improvement at the Trust. The Academy drives a culture of research and innovation, supporting professional development and growth of a locally relevant evidence base for community-based care.
