Associate Professor in Behavioural Operations Management

The Business School is looking to support its growth with greater teaching capacity in Operations Management, Risk Management and Project Management. A successful applicant would be expected to contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on modules under the remit of CEDARR, in particular the MSc’s in International Management, Risk Management and Project Management.

The Business School is looking to further strengthen its expertise in Operations Management, and welcomes strong applicants from experienced academics reading to take up a role as Associate Professor. A successful applicant would be expected to contribute to the teaching of BSc, MSc and MBA programmes across the school in the area of Operations Management and related subjects.

The successful applicant would be expected to contribute to the research activity of the School: you should have a PhD or equivalent, and should be able to demonstrate a high-quality research track record, the ability to obtain research funding and have clear plans for future research activity. 

The Centre of Excellence in Decision Analytics and Risk Research (CEDARR) is a large group of highly research-active staff and around 45 PhD students. Research expertise covers a wide range of areas including Management Science, Risk, Knowledge and Information Systems Management, Operations and Project Management, and contains two internationally renowned research groups: CORMSIS (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/cormsis) and CRR (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/risk). The Centre boasts extensive links with industry, offering around 35 industrial placement projects per year to MSc students.
