We are now seeking to recruit a number of outstanding individuals for a key research and teaching positions in a number of disciplines as outlined below to play a crucial role in the School achieving its vision.

The Department of OB and HRM at Southampton Business School comprises 13 academics with teaching and research interests in the area of careers, corporate social responsibility, crisis, critical management studies, employment, entrepreneurship, ethics, immigration, industrial relations, labour unions, leadership, liminality, mindfulness, psychoanalysis, sustainability, and the changing world of work. Members of the department have published in top tier journals such as the Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Discoveries, Academy of Management Education and Learning, British Journal of Management, Human Relations, Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Work, Employment and Society. The department has a thriving undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, which is built on the research strengths and focus of department staff.

You will have a PhD (or equivalent degree/professional qualifications and experience) as well as a well-established academic reputation in your specialist discipline, demonstrated by a significant record of high quality published research (minimum ABS3*level or equivalent standing). Visible, engaged and collegiate you will have an extensive experience of teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level and be passionate about developing and disseminating successful learning techniques, as well as a track record in securing research funding.  

*Applications will also be considered from candidates interested in part time hours of 0.6FTE and above. You will be asked to give details of your preferred working hours at the application stage. For applicants interested in a Part Time role, please note: This role is unlikely to support a Certificate of Sponsorship with a part time salary amount (a Certificate of Sponsorship is required to obtain a Tier 2 visa to work in the UK).
