Research Fellow - Computer Science (privacy and provenance)

Joining our Turing funded project, you will be responsible for delivering research as part of an interdisciplinary team led by Dr. Adriane Chapman. The role is at the interface of provenance and privacy technologies, with a particular focus on using provenance to determine appropriate anonymization techniques.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to research into using PROV to identify data environments and likely ownership. The projects also involve developing ways to use this information, and quantify its effectiveness, write project reports, and produce refereed publications and present research findings to the community and (if appropriate) the public. The wider team will also include staff from our partner organisations. 

You should have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Computer Science or software engineering.  You will be expected to report to the project group at regular meetings, and will also be responsible for preparation of publications and presentations at conferences and project meetings. There will be a requirement for you to travel every other month to meet with our collaborators off site in the UK. Essential skills include hands-on experience of modern data management tools for RDF, data processing techniques, and software engineering.
