Applications are invited for a Software Engineer to work with the EPrints Services team within Electronics and Computer Science.

The team develop and maintain web based repositories for a wide variety of organisations all over the world.  At the core is an open source software platform that provides a flexible way to configure the operations of a repository such as submission workflows, the metadata for content, and a range of services to allow people to access content within a repository.

The team is growing and requires people who can take responsibility for the development of customer focused projects requiring design, programming, testing, project management, and customer support.

The successful applicant should have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Computer Science or related discipline and/or proven industrial experience and some knowledge of Linux and web technologies, for example XML, Javascript and CSS. Experience of Perl or similar applicable high level programming language will be highly desirable.

The initial duration of the post is 2 years.
