Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Politics to further strengthen the thriving research and teaching culture of Politics and International Relations (PAIR) and the Centre for Citizenship, Globalization and Governance (C2G2). We are particularly interested in recruiting candidates with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: public policy; quantitative political science/ research methods; and comparative politics; but we welcome applications from across the field of Political Science. You will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Politics/Political Science.

You will work with a strong body of staff in a Department that was ranked 5th in the UK for the quality of its research outputs in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. You will undertake nationally and internationally recognised academic research; have a growing national and international reputation in the field of Politics and evidence of the potential to secure research grants. You will demonstrate the potential to produce research with a demonstrable contribution to society and the economy. You will also contribute to the teaching activities of PAIR and the supervision of Doctoral candidates.
