An opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Coordinator to support the delivery of the Marketing plan for the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. This is a one-year position with particular reference to our Enterprise economy and our Research reputation. This position is part of the Communications and Marketing team and is based within the Faculty.

This post requires an individual to provide operational planning and organisation of a busy workload, dealing with multiple projects and often conflicting deadlines. You will have previous experience of working with senior academic colleagues to deliver creative marketing and communications solutions. This will require demonstration of excellent verbal and written communication skills; personal agility, excellent time management skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team. 

Full details of the position are available on the Role Description, but responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of allocated projects as well as coordinating and facilitating marketing and communications activities across a range of channels

  • Undertaking research and detailed analysis, manipulation and interpretation of specialised data to create reports and highlight and prioritise issues.

  • Reviewing procedures and processes, ensuring maximum efficiency, and delivering innovating solutions

  • Maintaining operational marketing plans and providing accurate information 

Excellent relationship building skills are essential, as is the ability to maintain good working relationships both within and outside the organisation. The post will require the holder to possess excellent attention to detail and great customer service skills. 

You should have a relevant NVQ3 / HNC / A-Level / City & Guilds or equivalent qualification or experience. Previous marketing experience in a similar role would be desirable.
