The Southern Universities Network (SUN) comprises a number of higher education providers, further education colleges, schools, and other organisations in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It is part of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) initiative. This OfS-funded project aims to increase the number of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Higher Education.

The post-holder will support the delivery of the SUN outreach programme both on-and-off campus to targeted students, teachers, parents/carers and advisers, in accordance with the aims and objectives of NCOP. This post will see the successful candidate based at the University of Southampton, working under the direction of the SUN Project Leader.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people and knowledge of the education sector. You will possess excellent communication, organisation and inter-personal skills. You will be a team player who will relish the challenge of working in a collaborative setting. You will be approachable and demonstrate a commitment to the values of the widening participation agenda.

The post will be on a fixed term basis until 31 July 2021.

A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service clearance at Enhanced level is also required.
