We are seeking to appoint a nursing lecturer, active on the NMC register with a children’s nursing qualification and clinical experience. You will help us to deliver and develop our highly valued nursing programmes, including our integrated Masters leading to dual registration, and contribute to our research portfolios and scholarly impact.

The job

Our vision is to lead nursing in a global digitalised world. We aim to develop our students and staff leadership and innovation skills, such that all will have a pride in their nursing at Southampton. You will work with a dedicated, experienced nursing education team with an established research portfolios.

We are particularly interested to hear from people with a track record of excellence in clinical and academic work associated with Children’s Oncology/Haematology nursing, although other areas of children’s nursing will be considered.

Daily activities include:

  • Contributing to the delivery and development of our nursing programmes including module leadership, session delivery and marking.
  • Participating in scholarly activity and working alongside our research colleagues.
  • Acting as a Personal Academic Tutor, and engaging with the student body to constantly improve our programmes and the student experience.
  • Liaising with the colleagues, programme leads and managers to deliver the nursing education strategy.
  • Liaising with clinical practice partners to maintain and develop effective partnership working.

This is a full time permanent post. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at enhanced level is required for this post.

We are intending to interview on Wednesday 7th August 2019.
