The Department of Decision Analytics and Risk is a leading authority in management science, risk, analytics and operations, realised and delivered through research, education and consultancy. We develop innovative analytical approaches for improving decision making and risk taking and support individuals and businesses to make sound and effective decisions. Our department is highly interdisciplinary, collegial and lively. The Department is supported by five research centres: Centre of Operational Research, Management Science and Information Systems (CORMSIS), Centre for Risk Research (CRR), Advanced Project Management Research Centre,  Product Returns Research Group and Centre for Healthcare Analytics, where staff are actively engaged in cross-disciplinary research. 

About you 

As a lecturer you will play a central role in furthering the research of the Decision Analytics and Risk department.  You will bring to the role a strong professional reputation in teaching and research, including the ability to produce world class research through publications in leading academic journals. You may have some experience of research grant activity. You will act as a leader and ambassador for us across management and enterprise or other engagement activities. 

Experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels is essential, as is your ability to engage and inspire students and colleagues alike. Whether developing your own teaching approaches, acting as supervisor to your students or contributing to the effective administration of our department, you will enjoy scope to innovate and make a significant impact on teaching and research. 

We are looking for lecturers in the following areas: simulation, project management and information systems but we may consider excellent lecturers in other areas related to management science, risk, analytics and operations.
