A Research Fellow position is available within the Academic Unit of Primary Care and Population Sciences to carry out a mixed methods study amongst people with acne.
The successful candidate will lead the recruitment, data collection, analysis and write up for this project with the support of a team. The post will include a quantitative component, but the main data collection and analysis will be qualitative.
You will have a PhD in a health-related or social science discipline or equivalent professional qualifications and experience. Masters or PhD level training in a health-related or social science discipline are desirable, preferably including a significant qualitative component. You will be familiar with qualitative methodology, with experience of carrying out qualitative research in a health-related area. Experience of recruiting research participants or carrying out research in primary care will be an advantage, as will some experience of handling quantitative data.
