            <p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true"><strong>Are you a UKSCA-accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach looking to kick-start your career in performance sport?</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The University of Southampton is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our Performance Sport team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with talented student-athletes, delivering high-quality strength and conditioning support within a thriving university performance sport environment.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">Working alongside our Performance Sport Lead, you will play a key role in supporting our scholarship athletes, performance teams and Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) athletes. You&#39;ll design and deliver strength and conditioning programmes, monitor athlete development, and help students balance the demands of academic study with high-performance sport.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of sports while developing your coaching expertise within a supportive and ambitious team. Whether you&#39;re newly UKSCA accredited or looking to take the next step in your career, you&#39;ll be encouraged to grow professionally while making a genuine impact on student-athlete performance and experience.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>What you&#39;ll be doing</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Programming and coaching evidence-based strength and conditioning sessions</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Supporting athlete development through performance testing, profiling and progress monitoring.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Mentoring student-athletes to help them successfully balance academic and sporting commitments.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Assisting with the delivery of the University&#39;s Performance Sport and TASS programmes.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Working collaboratively with coaches, practitioners and key stakeholders to deliver an outstanding athlete experience.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Contributing to the continued growth and success of Southampton Sport&#39;s performance programme.</li></ul><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>About you</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">You&#39;ll be passionate about athlete development and committed to providing an exceptional student experience. You&#39;ll bring excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to build positive relationships with athletes and colleagues alike.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">Essential requirements include:</p><ul type="disc"><li style="margin-left:0cm;">UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) Accreditation.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">A qualification or equivalent experience in Strength and Conditioning, Sports Science or a related discipline.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Experience delivering strength and conditioning programmes within a sporting environment.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.</li><li style="margin-left:0cm;">A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based coaching practice.</li></ul><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>Why Southampton?</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">At the University of Southampton, people matter.
