            <p style="margin-left:0cm;" data-pasted="true">The Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU) is a UK Cancer Research Collaboration (UKCRC) registered unit, and was set up in 2006 to design and conduct academically led clinical trials. The Unit employs trial managers, data managers, statisticians, regulatory staff and administrative support staff. We manage a growing portfolio of multi-centre clinical trials that will directly influence routine clinical practice. The Unit is core funded by Cancer Research UK and has CTU support funding from the NHS National Institute for Health Research and is based at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">We have an exciting opportunity to work within the CTU. You will work with other colleagues in a team supporting our trial management team and will take responsibility for providing high quality administrative support across a range of activities. Candidates should have suitable office experience, good communication skills, the ability to multitask and be a team player. Applicants are welcome to use AI tools that assist in proofreading or structure, but applications must reflect your own experience and work. This is an exciting time to be joining the University of Southampton as we are looking to rebuild, consolidate and rearchitect large parts of our sites to meet best practices for technical design, content and accessibility.</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">This role will work across our website estate looking to ensure that as we consolidate platforms and improve technical debt, design and reliability we have a fully formed suite of tests. We are looking for someone with a wide range of testing skills from Linux and cloud platforms experience through to frontend and dedicated Drupal and PHP testing. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous clinical trials experience to join a CTU which has full registration status from the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC).&nbsp;</p><p>The successful applicant will have significant experience of clinical trials in the NHS or the commercial health research sector. Undertaking multi-centre early and late phase clinical trials, we work nationally and internationally to create the evidence for patient benefit that will directly influence routine clinical practice in the NHS and overseas.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">As part of the CRUK and NIHR infrastructure we have close working relationships with our partners, including the Southampton Experimental Cancer Research Centre, NIHR BRC &amp; RSS, University Hospital Southampton, the Centre for Cancer Immunology discovery community and CRUK Centres and Institutes across the UK, with an increasing number of international collaborations.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:0cm;">The Senior Trials Manager will lead the relevant portfolio team to ensure effective delivery of the overall strategy and delivery priorities for SCTU.
