An exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to thrive in a successful environment.

The Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences is seeking a Communications and Legacy Impact Manager to support the UKRI TAS Hub project (tas.ac.uk). You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and project partners to develop and assist in delivering TAS legacy strategy, including communications and projects. This will involve engaging the research and business communities through a range of methods and platforms.

The UKRI TAS Hub sits at the heart of the £33M Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) Programme, funded by the UKRI Strategic Priorities Fund.

Over the past four years, we have funded and delivered over 70 multidisciplinary projects in AI and Robotics. We have collaborated with more than 170 partners located in the UK and worldwide, witnessing remarkable ideas emerge. TAS has now entered its legacy phase, where we need to consolidate its impact through a range of legacy projects which include a new website, as well as community and skills activities.

We are looking for candidates who bring a passion for communications and project management, demonstrate experience from concept through to delivery, and have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering high-quality communications campaigns and projects.

 Specifically, you will have:

  • Exceptional organisational skills, with an eye for detail, able to prioritise well and manage often multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience as an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and confident with building relationships and working alongside a variety of colleagues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to successfully communicate across a wide range of stakeholders/partners/team members from both academia and industry.
  • Evidence of proven work experience acquired in relevant roles and job-related training. You will be professional, clear-thinking and maintain a diligent work ethic.

As a university, we aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive and are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity. We believe that we can only truly meet our objectives if we are reflective of society, so we are passionate about creating a working environment in which you are free to bring your whole self to work.
