Administrator

You are invited to apply for the post of Administrator based at the University of Southampton’s Winchester School of Art, supporting the AHRC-funded research project Creativity, Community & Resilience (CCR) research team.  

Creativity, Community & Resilience is an interdisciplinary, collaborative research project between the Universities of Southampton, Brighton, and Glasgow and community partners in the LGBTQ+ youth sector. The project investigates how community belonging can improve livability, build collective resilience, and support trans and gender diverse young people’s wellbeing.

As an Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to academic staff within the cross-institutional research team. You will provide administrative support to organising project symposia, workshops and conferences. You will have excellent communication skills and support effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders, participants and wider audiences. You will apply a good working understanding of administrative systems to answer and resolve queries from colleagues, external partners and stakeholders.  

You must have previous experience within an administrative role and be able to work independently, to manage workload, meet tight deadlines, and work as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work in a diverse team with a strong commitment to EDI, are essential for this role. Awareness of University processes and regulations would be an advantage.

The post is offered as 0.4 FTE, fixed term for 24 months.
