Teaching Fellow in Marine Biology
The School of Ocean and Earth Science (SOES) is seeking to recruit a Teaching Fellow to contribute to teaching at undergraduate and MSc level with expertise across marine biology subjects, including organism physiology and/or coastal marine ecology.
SOES is based at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton on the University of Southampton’s Waterfront Campus. Based in the 60-strong Marine Biology and Ecology research group (MBERG), you will join a dynamic team of biologists, ecologists, oceanographers and geoscientists across SOES delivering high quality curricula at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. MBERG applies state-of-the-art observational, experimental and analytical techniques to address the consequences of natural environmental change and human activities on marine organisms and ecosystems.
Your contribution will be central to delivery, assessment and student support across the Marine Biology group of taught programmes in the School of Ocean and Earth Science. You will have teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Experience of field teaching and data analysis for a broad range of students would be desirable. You will have a PhD (to include thesis submission, or awaiting viva) or equivalent professional qualification.
This is a full time, fixed term post of 11 months starting in on February 1st, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
