Service Transition Manager
This is an exceptional time to be joining the University of Southampton and the Service Transition Team within the University’s IT department, iSolutions. The team supports delivery of change across a huge range of IT services, and the role is a chance to ensure the release of those changes creates the maximum value for our customers.
About the Role
This Transition role is for our Microsoft Dynamics CRM Project and the person will help provide leadership and direction to ensure this service can be supported and maintained in production. The post holder will be part of the Service Transition Team, working alongside team managers and PMO staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with technical and project teams across the department to create new and improved service transition processes.
What you’ll do
- Ensure the successful transition of services and products from development into operational support, enabling the University to get the maximum possible value from its IT services.
- Working closely with stakeholders, you will lead the redevelopment and continuous improvement of a structured model for service transitions.
- Work with colleagues in the IT Portfolio & Governance group to ensure the successful delivery of the portfolio of change initiatives.
What you’ll bring
- Experience of leading service transitions in a complex IT environment.
- An understanding of service management frameworks or methodologies, including change and release management.
- Excellent communication skills underpinning an ability to work with others, including technical team members and project managers.
