The Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Senior Administrator to join the Faculty Operating Service. Based in the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP), you will make an important contribution supporting our academic community. Successful applicants will be motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive team players who are culturally sensitive and are able to work effectively in a flexible and responsive environment.
As a member of our busy administrative team, you will deliver a professional and efficient service including operational assistance and administrative support to the academic community, event organisation, financial administration, organising and minuting meetings, and ordering resources. An essential part of this role will be to provide project and programme support, including data administration and assisting with communication to stakeholders and target audiences.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have the ability to build effective and credible working relationships and liaise confidently with your stakeholders
- Be adaptable, flexible, proactive and a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive and enthusiastic approach.
- Have excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively to meet business requirements
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and well as up-to-date MS Office skills
- Be able to accurately analyse and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data, presenting summary information in a clear and concise format.
This role may suit either a motivated professional with relevant work experience looking for career development or a recent graduate with some experience looking for an opportunity to explore career opportunities within a higher education environment.
