Procurement Officer

The Procurement service plays an important role in supporting colleagues in procuring a diverse range of goods, services and works which are critical to the successful operation of the University. As a Procurement Officer you will support Senior Category Managers and Senior Procurement Managers in delivering a variety of procurements across a broad range of categories within a university environment. 

This Role is focused on supporting the Estates and Facilities category. 

The role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to work with colleagues from all corners of the organisation in ensuring our high-quality procurement arrangements reflect the needs and ambitions of the University strategy.

About you

As a member of the Procurement and Contract Management team, you will need a good level of commercial acumen and the ability to build strong, productive relationships with a diverse stakeholder group – including academic and research staff, heads of the University’s professional services functions, and key external suppliers and partners.    

You should have previous experience of working in a procurement environment, managing tenders, ensuring compliance with internal & external regulations (including but not limited to; procurement, financial, and legal regulations), managing multiple projects, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering value for money & associated benefits.
