Administrator (International)

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Operating Service and contribute to a range of activity in support of the Faculty's International Strategy.

The successful candidate will provide proactive and comprehensive operational support to our annual Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes Programmes, including the recruitment, onboarding, and academic environment support for over two hundred teaching staff. They will also deliver efficient and value-added administrative support to the Academic Centre for International Students department, part of the School of Humanities, including governance, human resources, and financial processes. 

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the academic community and professional services teams
  • A collegial and inclusive ethos, with intercultural competency
  • Strong organisational techniques, with the ability to plan and prioritise their workload and manage stakeholder expectations
  • High attention to detail, with a track record of delivering accurate and quality outputs
  • A positive approach to challenges, with the capacity for flexibility and reflection

The post is based primarily at the Avenue Campus, with opportunity to work at Winchester School of Art and Highfield campuses, as well as from home for approximately 40% of the time. The post is available on a full-time basis, however we support flexible working and will consider part-time/ job share applications. The post is offered on a fixed-term basis to cover the substantive post holder's secondment..
