Salary:   £17,408 to £19,730 Pro rata per annum (plus 10% uplift for being on a Unique Working Pattern)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to work in the University of Southampton’s Sport & Wellbeing facilities, which are open to its students, staff and members of the wider community.  The facilities include the signature Jubilee Sports Centre, Wide Lane Sports’ Ground and the Watersports Centre. Sport & Wellbeing offer an extensive range of sport and leisure classes, courses and facilities, available to our customers from 07:00 a.m. to 22:00p.m. every day of the week. We are looking for a Customer Services Assistant to support our Sport and Wellbeing section; they will play a significant part in enhancing the experience of students and other customers who interact with our service. In addition, they will provide valuable administrative support and help ensure the service runs smoothly.

The working pattern for this post is as follows:

Thursday & Friday - 15:45pm – 19:45 pm.

Saturday & Sunday - 14:00pm – 22:15 pm.

The working pattern for this position includes weekends, aswell as opening and closing shifts. The role is primarily based at the Jubilee Sports Centre (JSC) on Highfield Campus, however flexibility to work at Wide Lane Sports Grounds at times may be required.

You will be qualified to at least GCSE level with experience of working within a busy and diverse customer service environment. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office is essential.

The salary for this post starts from £17,408 pro rata (0.62FTE) with annual increments.
