Arts Administrator, Turner Sims Southampton

Turner Sims Southampton is one of the country’s leading concert venues.  A department of the University of Southampton, and an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, Turner Sims’ renowned promoted series comprises classical music, jazz, world music and folk presented by international artists and groups along with rising stars.  In addition it hosts a wide range of other events including performances by local groups, lectures, conferences and seminars.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in music to deal with all aspects of administration for the venue; these include finance, contracts, health and safety, and HR.  You will have exceptional organisational, interpersonal, communication and administrative skills. Computer literacy is essential, as is experience and understanding of how concerts and events are planned and managed. 

The Administrator for whom you would be providing maternity cover currently works Mondays and Fridays, with the job-share Administrator working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We will however consider applications from those who would prefer to work on other days, however Administration cover on Mondays and Fridays would be ideal.
