How would you enjoy working in a varied and interesting administrative role supporting a vibrant academic department alongside a team of friendly and supportive colleagues?

The Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of the UK’s most dynamic centres for engineering and environmental research and education.  

You will be providing first line administrative support to a range of stakeholders, ranging from academic staff, research students and visitors to external collaborators from academia and industry.

To be successful, you will need a track-record of successfully working as part of a busy team providing a fully comprehensive customer service to a variety of different customers whilst delivering consistent results across a broad range of secretarial activities. These including, but not limited to: travel arrangements, diary management, purchasing, resource management, human resources support, event organisation and committee servicing. 

You will hold an NVQ2, GCSE, City and Guilds or equivalent experience, have good numeracy and IT skills. The ideal candidate will have existing knowledge of university systems such as Agresso, Planon, Stonefish and Go2Book travel booking system, however this is not essential.
