About the role 

This is a hugely exciting opportunity for a strategic and communicative Technical Architect to join our pioneering digital transformation programme which is about to enter a new phase. You’ll be joining a large agile multi-disciplinary and co-located team dedicated to developing a new user-centred information and support services for many of our users groups - from applying to a course, to finding research collaborations and much more. This project is fast-paced and hugely ambitious. We need someone who has a good understanding of a broad range of technologies to enable our team to succeed.

What you'll do 

  • Work closely with Developers, Delivery and Product Managers to deliver digital services that work for our users. 
  • Undertake structured analysis of technical issues and translating it into technical designs that describe a solution.
  • Look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll bring 

  • Demonstrable experience and good understanding of broad range of technologies
  • Proven ability to deliver complex solutions to projects and products (technical, or service-orientated). 
  • Strong problem solving skills - both at a high level and also able to get into the details to ensure risks and complexities are well understood. 
  • Ability to think strategically and understand broader concepts and strategies.
