We welcome applicants with any area of expertise in criminology; criminology/psychology and experience of quantitative research methods. You will be joining an expanding subject area in terms of curriculum, student numbers and overall contribution to the School, Faculty and University. The duties of the role will include:

  • Contributing to the Teaching and Learning Criminology and Inter-disciplinary areas.
  • Being involved in the department’s research and REF submission.
  • Carrying out departmental business as directed by the Head of Department.

You will strengthen our research profile and contribute to our intellectual community, including the activities and profile of our Institute of Criminal Justice Research, which draws together colleagues from across the University in an active and flourishing academic environment for research activity. You will hold a PhD in Criminology or Criminology/Psychology (or a related field) and have relevant experience of teaching and learning in Higher Education. You will contribute to the research profile of the School through academic scholarship and theoretically informed empirical research. You will be part of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences which brings together a unique range of disciplines and is committed to tackling the world’s biggest challenges through interdisciplinary research.
