We are delighted to offer a Research Technician position at the School of Clinical and Experimental Sciences at Southampton General Hospital. The position is funded by CRUK to support an interdisciplinary research programme dedicated to improving our understanding of non-conventional T-cell immunity in humans.
You will be excited by the challenges involved in supporting a dynamic, interdisciplinary group of researchers. The duties will include molecular biology, refolding of CD1 lipid complexes and soluble alpha-beta or gamma-delta T cell receptors, Surface Plasmon Resonance, protein crystallography and other experimental techniques to support research projects in the laboratory.
The post-holder will ideally possess or expect to obtain a degree in Biochemistry or allied subjects/relevant disciplines. The role requires the ability to plan and organise your workload, work well under pressure and communicate effectively and professionally with other laboratory members as well as good IT skills.
We have a full time fixed term contract available until 31st January 2021.
