Cancer Research UK ECMC

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to support the early phase clinical trials and translational research portfolio studies within the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) at Southampton CRUK centre, hosted in the Wessex Investigational Sciences Hub (WISH) laboratory. The WISH lab is designed to host regulated clinical trial work within the fields of Cancer immunotherapy and stratified/personalised medicine, situated within the University Hospital Southampton site. The Southampton ECMC is part of the Southampton CR UK Centre, within the Cancer School of the Faculty of Medicine which provides a stimulating working environment for more than 100 scientists, clinicians and associated staff, investigating cancer and its treatment. The Southampton ECMC hosts one of 4 CR UK Centre for Drug Development Biomarkers Centre of Excellence and the appointee will also work closely within this National network.

We are looking to appoint a full time QA Manager to provide Management and leadership of the Quality Managed System implemented to meet MHRA or other regulatory body requirements for the conduct of early phase cancer clinical trials or research studies within translational experimental medicine. The appointee will also have responsibility for ensuring the regulatory compliance of the HTA licence for clinical trials and Tissue bank facility within Cancer Sciences. 

You will have a skill level equivalent to achievement of a professional qualification or postgraduate degree, and proven experience of managing outcomes in quality assurance within a biomedical laboratory or other relevant setting. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and awareness within the specialist field of quality assurance and will display a high level of motivation and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team as well as independently.
