Salary:   £18,009 to £20,130 Pro rata per annum

We are looking for a part time administrative assistant to support the NIHR Bioresource in Southampton. The NIHR BioResource ( is a national initiative building a panel of recallable volunteers, both with and without health conditions, who are willing to be approached to help researchers understand diseases and develop new treatments.  The Southampton BioResource is one of 13 centres across England establishing this national panel, based within the Southampton General Hospital.

We expect an individual with a responsible working attitude, and who can display a high level of motivation with the ability to work as part of a team. Some previous experience or knowledge of Biomedical Science is desirable. You will be supported in thorough record keeping and database management for all processes undertaken for compliance with good clinical practice (GCP). You will gain an overall awareness of clinical research and develop skills relating to patient and public involvement and engagement, volunteer recruitment, research facilitation, ethics & governance, communications, project coordination & management, and database administration.
