An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to work in the University of Southampton’s Sport and Wellbeing facilities, which are open to its students, staff and members of the wider community.  These include the signature Jubilee Sports Centre, Wide Lane Sports’ Ground and the Watersports Centre.  An extensive range of sport and leisure classes, courses and facilities are available to our customers from 07:00 to 22:00 every day of the week.   

We are looking for someone to increase the number of active students at the University of Southampton. Working in partnership with our Sport Clubs, we wish to identify opportunities to increase participation and host large sporting events. The post will also seek to work in partnership with local sport teams, regional organisations and national governing bodies to secure grants income and to identify and deliver new opportunities for the University. 

To help deliver the Sports Strategy the post will be required to evaluate and monitor activities and projects using available data and pre-defined KPI’s. There will be opportunities to help contribute to the formulation and delivery of our strategy and enhancement plans. 

The role is based at the Jubilee Sports Centre (JSC) - Highfield Campus 

This post will be offered at the base pay £25,217 

You will be qualified to skill level equivalent to achievement of HNC, A-Level, NVQ3 with proven work experience acquired in relevant roles. Candidates can be expected to network both internally and externally and have a good understanding of the higher education sporting sector. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office is essential.
