Research and Innovation Services is now recruiting a Business Engagement Officer to join the knowledge exchange function in its Technology Transfer and Impact Programmes team with specific responsibility for delivering on the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Programme. You will be driving a wide-ranging portfolio of projects designed to maximise interactions between the University and business partners and supporting their application for project funding under the KTP Programme. You will develop and implement systems for resource management and facilitate the smooth operation of the processes within the University KTPs. 

As a key member of the Business Engagement Team, you will work with colleagues to support enquiries from businesses, particularly SMEs, looking to collaborate with and access the University’s expertise and facilities. You will provide a central point of contact for access to funding information for Innovate UK, proof of concept and other translation funding schemes in support of commercialisation and business collaboration activities.

Commercially astute and technologically aware, you will work with world-class researchers and partners to help shape relationships, secure funding, and develop strong mutually beneficial partnerships.  With excellent communication skills, commercial flair and attention to detail, you will be well organised with the ability to multi-task and work well as part of a dedicated team.
