We are pleased to advertise an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional administrator to join the Department of Social Statistics and Demography, Faculty of Social Sciences, as a manager of a European Horizon 2020 project QuantMig: Quantifying Migration Scenarios for Better Policy, led by the University of Southampton and executed by a consortium of seven top demographic research institutions from across Europe.

As one of the key members of the project team, you will manage and provide effective and efficient administration services to support the day-to-day operations of the project and the consortium. You will lead the administration tasks related to the timely delivery of the work programme, organising and taking minutes from internal meetings, organising project events and seminars, and managing the project website, as appropriate. You will support senior staff and researchers with professional services including (but not limited to) diary and timesheet management, travel bookings, expense claim processing and document preparations where necessary. You will also prepare and coordinate reporting across different sites for internal and external stakeholders, including the funders (EC).

You will have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HND, Degree, NVQ4 or basic professional qualification in an appropriate subject, significant working experience within an administrative support role and be well organised, proactive and a good team player.

Experience of working in a university environment, familiarity with managing European projects and consortia, and/or holding a PRINCE2 certification would be advantageous.
