Salary:   £20,675 to £24,461 per annum

Applications are invited for the position of Faculty Administrative Officer in the School of Health Sciences. You will provide professional, operational assistance and administrative support to academics, including diary management, travel arrangements, minute taking, organising meetings/conferences, HR and financial administration. You must have previous work experience within an administrative/secretarial role and be able to use your own initiative, as well as, independently problem-solve and manage your own time effectively, with minimum supervision.

You will be a team player with a keen eye for detail and a flexible, can-do attitude with excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. 

Essential skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, organising data and scheduling activities to ensure deadlines are met.

Proven experience in using and maintaining confidentiality in data management in an administrative role.

Excellent customer service skills.

Experience of diary management.

Minute taking.

Computer literacy including the ability to work with all Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).  

This post is based at both - Southampton General Hospital and Highfield Campus. Monday – Friday 8.45 am – 4.45 pm.
