The Student Experience Directorate at the University of Southampton is seeking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to support a new programme of work. The Student Experience Business Analyst is a new role that will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of the ‘Student Experience Programme, a key transformation programme that will seek to develop our approach to the delivery of services for students. This will enable rapid development of the student experience and will contribute directly to the University’s Strategic Plan and its aims to improve the student experience. 

The role holder will be required to apply business and systems analysis skills and knowledge to identify how the services that the university delivers for students operate. They will document the ‘as is’ state of work, identifying how and what is done, where and why. This analysis will be used to help develop new, innovative, approaches to the delivery of services for students.

The role holder will accurately document current and potential working practices through the eliciting, analysing, validating and mapping of systems and processes in a way that clearly identifies requirements, acceptance criteria and business benefits. They will consider business needs and identify operational efficiencies in order to support the development of future solutions.

We are seeking a colleague who has significant demonstrable experience of supporting the delivery of change programmes in a large organisation. They must have experience of engaging colleagues at all levels from an institution. They should have excellent organisational and project management skills and be able to deliver to deadlines and manage multiple activities. They will be a confident and credible individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.  

This post is offered on a 3-year fixed-term basis and is offered on the salary range of £30,942 to £38,017 depending on level of experience.
