We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse active on the NMC register to join the Nursing Midwifery and Health Department at the University of Southampton. You will help us deliver our highly valued undergraduate and post graduate, pre-registration, mental health and dual qualification nursing programmes, and contribute to our well-developed research portfolio.

If your application is commensurate to the requirements for a balanced portfolio (research and education) your title will be Lecturer or Associate Professor (as commensurate with the pathway and level of job description attached). If your application is commensurate to the requirements primarily for an educationalist, your title will be Senior Teaching Fellow or Principal Teaching Fellow on an education pathway (as commensurate with the pathway and level of job description attached).

You will need strong evidence of educational leadership and research leadership. If you are applying for a balanced portfolio, you will have a sound track record of successful and significant research grant applications and high-quality journal publications. You will have completed your PhD or hold equivalent clinical experience. You will have an appreciation of issues facing contemporary clinical practice and health services nationally and internationally. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for high quality nursing education and has a strong vision for how education and research can transform care.
