Salary:   £30,942 to £38,017 Pro rata per annum
Part Time Permanent (17.5 hours per week)

We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety, Fire Safety professional to join the Health, Safety and Risk Directorate within the University.

As a Health and Safety Officer (Fire), you will provide a comprehensive fire safety support service in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments in compliance with fire safety legislation and Codes of Practice. You will also monitor fire safety work programmes as directed by the University Health and Safety Manager (Fire).

You will be confident in liaising with external agencies and internal colleagues and have the skills necessary to plan your own work and also work as part of a team. You will be qualified to at least graduate level status or equivalent of a suitable professional body such as the Institution of Fire Engineers. You will also have experience in dealing with enforcement inspection, fire risk management and provision of authoritative fire safety advice.

The role will cover a work pattern of 2 days per week then 3 days per week. This will cover Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
