The Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) invites applications for key administrative roles in our Faculty Operating Service (FOS team). 

The successful candidates will support a range of FOS core services across the School of Humanities and Winchester School of Art, providing a value-added and flexible administrative service to senior academics and other members of the academic community.

High quality operational support is integral to the smooth running of the departments of Archaeology, English, Film, History, Modern Languages and Linguistics, Music, Philosophy, and the Academic Centre for International Students (home to our successful Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes Programmes), as well as the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered at Winchester School of Art. 

Applicants should be a proactive and organised individuals who thrive in a busy environment. Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills are crucial. Experience of HR administration and events organisation would be advantageous. An understanding of Equality Diversity and Inclusion principles is important. 

The FOS team work across three campuses in Southampton and Winchester, and the Pre-sessional Programmes are delivered at up to five sites across the two cities, therefore flexibility and the ability to work well within a team and independently is paramount.
