An opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 Senior Administrator to support the delivery of administrative and operational services to the Faculty Knowledge Transfer Partnerships across the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and the Faculty of Social Sciences. 

The role will be based in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences Enterprise Office, is part of the Faculty Operating Service and reports directly to the Senior Executive Officer in the Faculties.

The role requires a self-motivated and proactive individual to provide operational direction and management of a busy administrative workload.  The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Provide value-added, specialist and detailed end-to-end administration for the Knowledge Transfer Partnership producing proposals, project reports and papers, and taking ownership for outputs from high-level meetings and official communications.

  • Provide advice & guidance to University colleagues and external clients and end-to-end service delivery including contracting, costing, finance, legal and customer (external and internal) negotiation working with KTP colleagues in RIS as appropriate.

  • Process invoices and orders and raise requisitions, making effective use of the University’s financial system, liaising with Finance and working within financial regulations.

  • Build and maintain strong credible relationships with a wide a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage effective internal and external communication, including the development and maintenance of intranet sites, press releases and content for digital signage, liaising with appropriate stakeholders to provide detailed advice, support and guidance to KTP staff. 

  • Evidence excellent verbal and written communication skills; personal agility, and great time management skills.
