In the Engineering Design Manufacturing Centre workshop, you will be working alongside leaders in their discipline that rely on your expertise to guide them. You will achieve this by building strong partnerships and demonstrating creativity in problem solving.  In this pivotal role you will be responsible for aiding students and staff in the manufacture of equipment for project, experimental and research purposes. Personally, you will be a highly skilled or coded Welder competent in the use of a variety of welding/brazing equipment. You will have a good knowledge in the use of manual manufacturing equipment such as lathes, mills and drills. You will be a confident communicator able to explain technical issues to those less experienced and where English may be their second language. Pitching in to solve unique experimental manufacture and design solutions will be second nature and you will always be looking to deliver effective results in the most efficient way, enhancing your customers' experience.

The successful applicant must have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HND, Degree, NVQ4 or basic professional qualification.
