Salary:   £30,942 to £34,804 Pro rata per annum
Part Time Fixed Term (21 hours, until 31/03/2021)

An opportunity has arisen for a Level 4 Executive Officer to support the delivery of strategic and operational services in the Faculty of Medicine based at the Southampton General Hospital. The role will include provision of high-level support to the Head of School for Clinical and Experimental Sciences (CES) and senior colleagues, as well as oversight of a number of key processes. This position is part of the Faculty Operating Service and reports directly to the Associate Director of Faculty Operations.

The role requires a self-motivated and proactive individual to provide operational direction and management of a busy administrative workload.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of providing high-level strategic support to senior managers, and providing management of operational, planning, and business-critical projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; personal agility, great time management skills and the ability to build strong credible relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of working collaboratively, coordinating resources and logistical requirements, and working within a team to provide an excellent service to all stakeholders.
  • The ability to review and refine administrative processes, delivering innovative solutions to problems where appropriate.
  • Relevant experience of Higher Education structures and the NHS would be desirable.

The role is initially advertised as fixed-term, with possibility of extension to contract.
