We are looking for a Research Fellow to undertake research in accordance with the requirements of the Horizon 2020 funded EMERGE research project under the supervision of the award holder (Professor Ian Williams; on a 3 year full time fixed-term contract. 

We are particularly interested in candidates who have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in marine ecotoxicology, pollution monitoring and modelling. You will be able to demonstrate you have established, high quality laboratory skills in methods such as molecular techniques, genotoxicity tests, histology, physiology, bioaccumulation studies, including laboratory-based studies testing pollutants in bivalves. It is also essential you are able to demonstrate experience in carrying out exposure experiments on live organisms and monitoring their physiological and histological effects in human lymphocytes.

The post will require participation in fieldwork, attendance and presentation at national and international conferences for the purpose of disseminating research results, project and financial management, and interaction with researchers from across the European Union (EU).
