An opportunity has arisen for a Technician to join a small team within the Zepler Institute at the University of Southampton. The role will focus mainly on ensuring that cleanroom tools and equipment stay at a high level of availability through planned and reactive maintenance. Working alongside the Cleanroom Maintenance Management Engineer you will use your skills to proactively fault find, repair (or manage contractors for the repair) and requalify equipment that is vital to research and PhD completion. This is an exciting role where you will be depended on by multiple users to ensure smooth and continuous usage of a multi-million pound cleanroom suite of tools. This is a full time permanent role and full training will be given. The successful applicant will need to have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HNC, A-Level, or NVQ3.
