We are seeking to appoint a Project Administrator (part-time) to support a research project focused on developing a smart insole t with a view to helping prevent diabetic foot ulceration. This project is funded by NIHR i4i in collaboration with the Salford University, NHS centres, and other partners. You will be a key member of the project team, working closely with Professor Liudi Jiang, the Principle Investigator of the project. You will support members of the research team and administration/management tasks to ensure all activities run efficiently and research delivery on time, to budget and to the expected quality standards.

You will support day to day administration and management including coordinating research tasks across project partners and stakeholders (e.g. advisory group, public and patient involvement, NHS centres, and other partners), managing research lab and purchasing processes, organising project meetings/events, project reporting, project tests arrangement etc. You will ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner, making day to day administrative decisions proactively. You will provide support for studies involving human participants and people with diabetes including overseeing test procedures, data collection, organisation and analysis with specialised software. You will contribute to the delivery of research outputs, where appropriate, including extracting key information from literature reviews, drafting reports, publications and ethics. 

You should have proven experience of general administration, excellent written and verbal communication skills, high working/organisation efficiency, be adept at problem solving and working across a range of stakeholders. You should have experience of project management, reviewing procedures and draft report writing. Experience or knowledge of medical device research involving human participants, statistical data analysis, research ethics and medical device regulations are desirable. 

You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be proactive, self-motivated and have an ability to take initiative and work as part of a team. 

The post is part time (0.5 FTE) and has a duration of 3 years. It is expected to start on 1st January 2021.
