The University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service provides a regional service for severely and profoundly deaf adults and children situated at the University of Southampton Highfield Campus. USAIS is looking for a highly motivated person to join the service. 

A key member of our team you will be one of four medical secretaries supporting a multi-disciplinary team including a visiting ENT consultant. You will be an adaptable multi-tasker and you provide proactive and patient focussed administration and not be afraid to pitch to support colleagues across the wider team as the need arises. You will need excellent secretarial skills including audiotyping and diary management. Ideally you will have proven administrative experience within a health care setting.

You should have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and be confident interacting with a wide variety of people via email and on the telephone. You must be able to communicate with people who may have difficulty with understanding and be compassionate to their needs. You will have a keen eye for detail and appreciate the need for accuracy and adherence to the data protection and information governance policies and procedures. 

Your secretarial training and proven experience, together with your expertise using Microsoft Office, will be crucial to your success.

Suitable candidates will be screened virtually via a TEAMS meeting.

Following a successful screening interview the candidates will be given a task to prepare for the formal interview on a date to be confirmed.

The successful candidate will be appointed with the title of Clinic Secretary.
