The University of Southampton is a research-intensive University, with annual research income in excess of £120 million.  Research and Innovation Services (RIS) is recruiting a Research Funding Officer in its Research Funding Development team to support that success and to provide academic and research colleagues expert advice, guidance and bid support in European and International research funding.

We’re looking for a dynamic individual with a thorough understanding of European research funding to work alongside our academics in this key position. Of graduate calibre and a proven track-record of making things happen, you’ll advise and guide researchers (especially those new to securing international/European research funding) on the research funding landscape, schemes and application processes, with the view to developing high-quality proposals.  Astute and highly-motivated, you will call on your project management experience and knowledge of research funding to support Schools in maintaining their track-record in securing research funding.
