We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised person to lead the Winchester School of Art Library team in delivering excellent customer service to our library users. This post offers an opportunity to combine your experience of providing excellent customer services with working in a people management role.  Experience of working in a library is not essential.

Our ideal candidate will have the ability to support, motivate and develop others in delivering a front line service and support continuous improvement of the wider library service.  You will plan and manage the day to day operations of WSA library supervising a range of tasks supporting the delivery of face to face, telephone and online enquiry services.  

The role will be responsible for managing team workloads, monitoring performance, motivating the team and work collaboratively with the broader Customer services team and with other departments as appropriate.  

The successful applicant will enjoy communicating with our users, be able to demonstrate team leadership skills and an understanding of management issues in customer service provision.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of using a range of IT systems to support the day to day operations of the service.

The University provides a generous annual leave entitlement increasing to a maximum of 24 days pro rata.
