We are looking for a HR IT Systems Administrator to join our HR Systems team. This role will assist with the running and development of our HR and Payroll Systems as well as taking a lead on statutory returns.

The role

The HR Systems team provide essential support in running, maintaining and developing our HR and Payroll, eRecruit and Reporting systems. We also provide user support to a wide variety of system users and self-service customers.  As a HR Systems Administrator you will work closely with the team to help deliver system upgrades, development and project work.  

We also undertake statutory returns to the Higher Education Statistics Agency for which this role will take a lead on compiling and submitting the return.

The role is a full time and permanent position.  We understand that you may not have knowledge of the University’s systems, we are looking for your experience and potential to allow us to train and develop you.

The typical starting salary for this role will be £26,396 (spinal point 20 on the University Level 1-6 pay scale), unless you have significant experience in a similar role. Staff increment one spinal point each year, up to the top of the Level.

Your experience and skills

You will have a proven track record of managing large data sets and a technical knowledge of database systems. Experience of problem solving and resolution for technical issues along with an ability to build working relationships with internal and external suppliers. Customer service experience is beneficial as we seek to provide a prompt and efficient service.   

You will have strong skills in handling large data sets and the ability to present data to a required format and standard.  Experience with statutory returns is desirable but training will be given.
