Relativistic Astrophysics

(Fixed term for 2 years)

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow in general relativistic astrophysics to work with The Southampton Gravity Group.  You will be expected to undertake research within an STFC-funded project aimed at modelling the dynamics neutron stars in the context of multimessenger astronomy. The emphasis on the project is on the implementation of realistic microphysics in fully relativistic numerical simulations.

You will have a PhD or equivalent in Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline, and have a track record of original research in at least one of the following research areas: neutron-star astrophysics, gravitational-wave theory and numerical relativity.
